The Menzies College Brewing Co-op.

Plans are afoot to ensure a healthy supply for the denzians of Menzies College in the year of our science 2008. Prices are to be detirmined, but they will encorporate a deposit on any bottles, to be refunded in the event of the bottles being replaced. Grolsch Bottles will not be for sale or lend. The griffon has spoken.

The Bluebottle.

Come on feel that Blueberry Love.

Another somewhat experimental brew. I saw cans of blueberries in syrup in the supermarket, and what do you know; no preservatives. One spare can of Coopers Lager that I had no idea what to do with was promptly pulled from the Menzies College Brewing Company Storage Cupboard, and my wittle Billy, or my 15l fermenter as those who don't know him call him, was filled with malty goodness.

Ingredients:
Coopers Lager Kit
1kg Dextrose
Kit Yeast
Primary:1/11 - 7/11
Will rack to secondary in one week.

Fermenting Notes:
This was a failure. I'm not sure what went wrong but it ended up being too much like vinegar, so I didn't bottle it. Definitely going to try something like it again though.

A small break, then it's on like Donkey Kong.

Memory fails to explain just what has happened on the brewfront since the last post, I know I did a cider because it is still in the fermenter, but I can't recall the ingredients. I am pretty sure I did one or two others that are not recorded here, but then I could have dreamed I brewed them. Strange. Here's the Cider as I recall.

Berry Rocky Cider
Blackrock Cider Kit
2 Cartons of Apple and Berry Juice
1kg Dextrose?
250g Lactose?
Yeast Nutrient
4 Granny Smith Apples?
Kit Yeast

Racked to secondary after about a week and a half.

Bottled: Sometime soon.

Tasting: Sometime after that.
