The Three Pilsketeers

Three identical Pilsners. Be interesting to see how they go, there were some discrepancies in boil volumes which may affect taste and colour.
All three will be on show at the 2nd Annual Winter Brewcave Bash.

Ingredients
Thomas Coopers Pilsner Kit
1kg LDME
350g Carapils, steeped for approx 30 mins.
45g NZ Saaz for 45 mins
15g NZ Saaz for 15 mins

Saflager - made into starter.

Brewing Notes:
Brewed the last on 03/06/2011. Others brewed approx 1 week before.

Bottling Notes:
Yet to bottle. One will be kegged.

Emma's Pale

Given that its my sister Emma's birthday today, and given that she is very pale, the CCB is brewing a kit-and-extract-and-crystal Pale Ale, because Emma's pale.

Emma's Pale
Malt Shovel Pale Ale Kit
1kg LDME
1kg Medium Crystal, steeped for 30mins (1kg! Yikes!)
45g Galaxy for 1hr
35g Galaxy for 30mins

Safale Dried US Ale yeast.

Brewing Notes:
Brewed 11/03/11. Accidentally pitched the entire 1kg steep of the Crystal. Shit. Only meant to pitch half of it, and keep the rest for a second similar Pale Ale. Stay tuned for said Pale.
